According to the research and advisory firm Gartner, China’s tech giant, Huawei has been named as the world’s second-biggest smartphone company in Q1, afore being banned by the United States. Gartner also stated that the company sustained to lessen the gap with the super-giant Samsung, but cautioned that development might be restricted in the immediate term. On May 15, the United States has choked the tech giant from obtaining goods in the U.S. and has said that Huawei was involved in actions conflicting to national safety.
Last week, the Trump administration relaxed its posture by allowing Huawei a license to purchase U.S. goods up until August of this year. Gartner stated that Samsung took its topmost spot in wide-reaching smartphone sales and has accomplished a 19.2% market share in the Q1 of 2019. Among the world’s top five tech giants, Huawei accomplished the maximum year-over-year growth. The company surpassed the Chinese smartphone makers OPPO and Vivo along with Samsung and Apple.
In Quarter 1 of 2019, the company has sold 58.4 million smartphone units with advancement through all areas.
