It is a moment of rejoice for the fans of the stranger things as Netflix has announced on June 13, 2019 at the E3 gaming conference to unveil mobile game in 2020 centered on the series. It’s an effort of the company to introduce its original productions into the mega world of video games.
The game which is based on the ‘Stranger things’ will allow the gamers to discover the fictional realm of the show, the remarkable ‘Upside down” which is concealed around them. This experience will be delivered to the user’s real location via GPS.
Earlier, in December 2018, at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, Netflix had announced the unveiling of ‘Stranger Things Three: The Game’ which is scheduled for July 4, 2019 along with highly anticipated 3rd installment of the series.
The company also added on to the conference that ‘TDCART’ (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics) will be accessible later in 2019 as a version of the movie of the same name. The game falls under the category of turn-based strategy which is set in the movie’s fictional world and will unveil this year for several gaming consoles and PC.
Along with this, Netflix also plans to expand its characters and realms from its movies and original series, which will soon be appearing in games, assisted from various partners like Ubisoft, Roblox and Behavior interactive.
At Recode’s 2019 Code Conference, Cindy Holland, Netflix’s Original Content Vice President quoted that they desire to amuse the world so they require having many artists joining them. From the very start they wanted to produce a setting that was liberating and not stuffy.
